Description
1/2 day course, course times -11.00am-3.00pm – AED Defribillator and Basic Life Support course is intended for existing and newly qualified first aiders in the workplace with access to the use of an automated defibrillator. Upon successful completion of the course the certificate will be dispatched within 2 weeks. It is inclusive of fully approved and Health and Safety, Ofqual following the guidance of the Resuscitation Council. All candidates will receive a first aid AED booklet.
Who is this qualification for?
It is recommended for any new or existing first-aiders in the workplace who have access to the use of an automated defibrillator. Learners gaining this qualification will know that cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation form an essential part of the chain of survival, they will be able to spot a heart attack and recognise the need for a defibrillator. The topics covered are regarded by Skills for Health as being important in maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation.
How long will it take?
To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake approximately 4-5 hours of learning.
Assessment method:
This qualification is accredited can be assessed by a practical demonstration and multiple choice test. The certificates for successful learners will be dispatched within 2 weeks from the date of the course.
