From the 1st of April 2021, SIA (the Security Authority Industry) will make it mandatory to attend the EFAW 1 day accredited course prior to starting your Security Course. From the 1st of October 2021, security workers will need to obtain the 1 day first aid accredited certificate prior to renewing their security guard or door supervisor badge with SIA.

The First Aid at Work Course Level 3 is a more into depth first aid course and it contains subjects of knowledge of most common severe illnesses and incidents or accidents. This first aid course is suitable for workers looking to work in a high risk environment, such as factories, manufacturing, engineering or construction, as well as for Close Protection operatives in the Security Industry.
The First Aid Course accredited certificate is valid for 3 years and is approved and recognised by major government bodies like the Construction Industry, SIA, Dfe, etc
You will be given log on details and will be required to complete the rest of the course subjects at home. *Access to a computer and broadband connection are required.
There is no difference between the subjects studied in the 3 day First Aid at Work Level 3 Course and the First Aid at Work Course Level 3 Distance Learning, the assessment is also the same.
First Aid at Work Course Level 3 Distance Learning is a new method of delivering the 3 day course and only 2 days is necessary to attending. Once payment is made for the First Aid at Work distance learning, you will receive log in details to access the online course platform and you may complete this at your own pace – normally, on average, it takes approximately 4-5 hours to fully complete the online theory. When completed you will be able to attend your physical assessment and the classroom based subjects, as well as the multiple choice test. There is no difference in the subjects or the accreditation of this course. Fully accredited and Health and Safety approved, inclusive of certificate.
The Paediatric First Aid course is suitable for members of staff working in child care settings such as: schools, nursery staff, childminders, nannies, social services, children centres and play centres.
The Paediatric First Aid certificate is valid for 3 years and the full course has to be taken again for a new certificate.
The price is £275/candidate inclusive of course book and accredited Ofsted recognised certificate, the requirement is that every candidate attends a 12 hour course, we have reduced this to 1 day online and only 1 day classroom attendance. Please see below more information.
