
Health and Safety Course for CSCS card – £90/person
The Health and Safety Course is the Health and Safety in the Construction Environment Level 1 course is required by anyone starting to work in construction as a labourer and needs to apply for a CSCS card.
You will also need the CITB test.
This course normally takes 1/2 day with an exam at the end of the course day. A valid photo ID is required to be presented on the day of the course, together with the course application form – download here.

Please Note: If you are applying for a green (Labourer’s CSCS card, it is now a mandatory requirement for you to complete both a Health and Safety Course as well as the CITB Health Safety and Environment Test (http://www.citb.co.uk/cards-testing/health-safety-environment-test/).

Entry Requirements: There are no prerequisites for this qualification, however it is advised that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in Literacy and Numeracy. This course and exam are to be taken only in English.
How long will the course take?
This Health and Safety Course qualification is typically delivered on a 1/2 day course the course subjects will be taught and covered throughout. There is an exam at the end of the course day. Once payment is received candidates will automatically receive their confirmation as well as the course materials and a set of mock questions to study prior to attending the course. Please look out for your emails in both inbox and spam and ensure that when you make the booking on the course the email used is accessible.
How is the qualification assessed?
This Health and Safety Course for Construction is assessed through a 40-question multiple-choice question examination. The duration of the examination is 60 minutes. You must obtain 32 correct answers for a pass and certification.
What next?
Every candidate will obtain a certificate that states the newly achieved qualification (approx. 2 weeks) after the course. The results will be sent via email approx 10 days after the date of test. If successful, your certificate will be attached to the same email (to the email address used to sign up on the course).
Does the certificate expire?
No, the Health and Safety in Construction Level 1 certificate does not expire, however your CSCS green card is valid for 5 years – please check this with the CITB, which issue your card, further information about the CITB CSCS cards can be found here.
